Gua Sha is another method in the compendium or "tool kit" of Traditional Chinese Medicine used to release toxins and metabolic waste stored and stuck in the muscle fibers mostly wherever you feel and accumulate tension and stress. We may combine Gua Sha with Acupuncture or Therapeutic Bodywork depending on what's needed. Cupping is another method of extracting localized Sha which may be indicated if necessary. This technique was made popular after a number of Olympic swimmers and athletes had experienced it to enhance their performance during the summer Olympics in Brazil.
